Military LawMILITARY LAW ASSISTANCEBY FORMER MILITARY LAWYERS & ARMED FORCES PERSONNELMilitary law primarily consists of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). The purpose of the military law is to govern and regulate Armed Forces personnel. Military law also consists of other statutory provisions and allows for the adding of unwritten common law of the usage and custom of military service. Additionally, it also includes regulations authorized by the President as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. Military law is part of our body of law as a whole. Military law is fully recognized by the state courts. This body of law is in effect both during times of peace as well as in time of war.
